§ 21-14. Vehicular traffic entering public streets at stop signs.

  • (a)

    The police department of the town under the supervision of the town manager shall cause to be erected at the entrance to the public street listed under the heading "Street" from any private roadway, driveway, alleyway, parking area, or other point of access designated under the heading "Point of Entrance," signs notifying drivers of vehicles to come to a full stop before entering or crossing said street or highway.

    (b)

    Whenever any such sign has been erected, it shall be unlawful for the driver of any vehicle entering said public street or highway at said point of entrance, to fail to stop in obedience to said stop sign and to yield the right-of-way to vehicles being operated on said public street or highway.
