§ 21-20.1. Parking on sidewalk prohibited.

  • It shall be unlawful for anyone to park a motor vehicle or allow one to stand on any public sidewalk within the Town of Chapel Hill. For the purposes of this section, a "public sidewalk" is defined as any area within the right-of-way of a public street which has curb and gutter, and which said area is separated from that designed and normally used for the operation of a motor vehicle by said curb, and shall not be construed to include the shoulder or any unpaved portion of a right-of-way of a paved road on which curb and gutter does not separate the travelled portion from that portion of the right-of-way used for other purposes.
